Author Presentation by Lee T. Bycel
Lee T. Bycel, humanitarian, professor, rabbi and author, will speak about his new book, Refugees in America: Stories of Courage, Resilience, and Hope in Their Own Words. He has visited refugee camps in Darfur, Chad, South Sudan, Rwanda, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Haiti, and has secured much-needed funding for medical clinics. Lee Bycel will illuminate the complexities of our current refugee situation by sharing stories about the refugees he has profiled in his book, Refugees in America: Stories of Courage, Resilience, and Hope in Their Own Words. And through those stories, we will better understand the challenges refugees face and their numerous contributions to our society.
